Jennifer Fields Humber, Ed.D.
Professor Humber is a proud alumnus of the University of Alabama, where she earned an Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration, with an emphasis in College Teaching. Her research continues to focus on students’ perceptions of engagement in online coursework. With over 20 years of experience in higher education, she has served in various positions that require direct attention to conflict on a very regular basis. Her experiences in the field prompted her to pursue a deeper understanding of conflict resolution in all aspects of life. After completing the graduate certificate program in Conflict Resolution, she gained additional knowledge and skills that granted her a newfound confidence and passion for dealing with conflict more efficiently. Dr. Humber now serves as the Director of the Graduate Certificate Program, offered to online graduate students, enrolled at the University of Alabama. She is passionate about sharing content and facilitating conversations that empower others to be thoughtful, considerate, and confident in managing conflict successfully in their personal and professional lives. Professor Humber teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in conflict resolution, emotional intelligence, and negotiation.
